Hi! I’m Candisse, and I, on a whim, started Envious Events in 2011, after being inspired by reading the The Bride Quartet Series by Nora Roberts and abruptly quitting my job. I have always had a strong passion and hidden talent for event planning along with a true desire to work with people. My experience in the event planning industry began with working in the non-profit organization sector, where I planned conferences and various fundraisers including charity walks, educational events, conferences and more. The knowledge and experience I have gained from these endeavors was invaluable. It allowed me to acquire a well-rounded knowledge and understanding of the industry and to develop important relationships with many talented vendors. In wanting to take these talents to another level, I combined this hard earned knowledge and passion with my own personal style and started Envious Events Inc.. This gives me the opportunity to use my creativity to its fullest potential and the ability to give my clients the respect and attention they expect and deserve when planning their special event.
The most rewarding part of being an event planner is having the opportunity and pleasure to work so closely with clients. Working closely with such diverse personalities, cultures and families is awe-inspiring. I love people, and I love making them happy. I work hard to fulfill the visions and dreams of my client’s event. I also adores designing unique and beautiful events that reflect my client’s personal styles and visions. It makes the job very rewarding and puts a smile on my face. It makes me proud of the work that I do and reminds me everyday that I made the right choice in choosing to pursue a career in the event planning industry.
I have always wanted to have a job that I loved and not just a job that was just for a paycheck. What started out as a dream, has now become a reality and I get to work a job that I truly love.
When I have some free time you can find me bingeing Netflix, crafting with my girlfriends, and trying out new gin cocktails!

Hey there! I grew up in the beautiful Foothills of Alberta as a 5th generation homesteader. I moved to Kelowna BC in 2014 to attend the Centre for Arts and Technology (CATO); where I graduated from the Events and Promotional Management program. When I moved back to Alberta I met Candisse and automatically clicked with her as friends, co-workers and I looked up to her as a role model. I joined the Envious Events team April 2015 and as the company grew I proudly became co-owner in August of 2017.
I have always had a passion for events ever since I started planning my birthday parties at age 5. I aspire to connect with clients in order to create their ideal event. I have immense attention to detail which allows me to enhance creative ideas for all types of events. I want to plan events that people don’t normally expect; keeping things renewed and trending. My favorite aspect of events is brain storming the theme and décor ideas. Through my event experiences at CATO I have grown as an individual while becoming a professional event planner. I continue to aspire to create social events that exceed expectations.
During my spare time I like to write on my blog called My Truth; spend time with my husband, my animals, and quality time with my friends and family; cooking (at one point I wanted to be a chef) and crafting all of the things!!

Hello! I’m a born and raised Calgarian who can’t imagine living anywhere where I can’t see the mountains. I attended the University of Calgary for a BSc specializing in mathematics and a BEd specializing in secondary education; I dream of being a High School math teacher!
Breanna and I are long time friends, so when she first approached me to assist her with an event I thought it would be fun to spend the day with a friend and help make a wedding run smoothly. I certainly had not expected to be a cake decorator, photo booth operator, or emergency booze retriever! The job of an event planner entails exponentially more than I ever could have imagined, but it is also exponentially more rewarding than I could have ever imagined. It is so rewarding to have the opportunity to work so closely with so many different people who have such diverse personalities and ideas, and being a part of helping their visions become reality.
Aside from university and Envious Events, I work as a barista in a family run, locally sourced cafe. When I’m not in class or at work, you can find me out in the mountains, in ballet classes or yoga studios, snuggled up on the couch re-watching Star Trek (for the hundredth time) with a cup of tea, obsessing over every dog I see, or painting, knitting, crocheting, whittling, making jewelry, and any other crafty activity I’ve decided to try to teach myself!

Hello!! I’m the newest member of the team, but am so excited to be able to learn and grow with the help of such amazing role models. I am currently a Sociology student at the University of Calgary with the hopes of becoming an elementary/middle school teacher. I also work at both a restaurant downtown and at the Saddledome!
I have always had a love for event planning. I too started by planning extravagant birthdays for myself and friends. Once I got to high school and joined the leadership class, my high school friends and I started planning events such as school dances, pep rallies and theme days. As my leadership roles grew within my school, I was able to plan a leadership conference for my school to attend along side another local high school. My friends and I even got to help plan a trip to Finland with a small group of students with the school. I became interested in weddings when my chemistry got engaged, she had no idea where to even start. I made her a Pinterest board and we went from there. I sent her links to photographers, dress shops and so much more. Since then I have been eager to learn more and develop my skills as an event planning assistant with the dream of becoming an event planner myself one day.
If I can manage to find some free time between work and school, I am definitely binge watching Gilmore Girls or any crime documentary on netflix!
